A few impressions since my arrival in Milano
-Fresh cannoli are amazing!
-Pizza delivery by Vespa. Vrooom vroom!
-I have witnessed 1 bicyclist actually wearing a helmet.
-There are traffic lanes, but no one seems to use them.
-It's quite common for perfect strangers to greet you with a friendly "Ciao!"
-Smartcars, minicars dominate, minivans not so common.
-There are a lot of poodles, pomeranians walking the catwalk!
-The smell of fresh pastries at the Pasticceria (pastry shop) stops me in my tracks!
-Always take care of "elbows and knees" when riding passenger on a motorcycle.
(It can assist with zipping through lanes of traffic more efficiently)
-The smell of fresh bread from the Panetteria (bread bakery) calls my name.
-Your choice: walk, motorycle, vintage trolley, bicycle, autobus or metro.
-Slowly getting use to seeing tv shows & movies dubbed in Italian.
-Double, even triple parking is common in Milano.
-Pasta! I'm discovering new types all the time!
-Go very early to the open markets.
-Grappa is strong.
