Beautiful Mahogany
For those who are following our adventures of the boat restoration, here's an update on Inez. We sanded and sanded and sanded you get the idea...After a trip to the boat supply store and talking with some very helpful people, we received excellent advice to proceed with the next steps. One of the best tips was to use "Rå Linolja" since it's natural and most recommended to oil the boat prior to adding the new varnish. Sure! I had no idea what this was, but that was a unimportant detail...until I could google it later. "Linseed oil aka. Flaxseed oil." Aha! So you can well imagine our enthusiasm to start oiling because it smells clean and is natural. So for now, Inez is soaking up the oil and we're just waiting for it to dry to add another coat. Maybe we'll soak up a little sun while we wait.
ps. Yes, it's the same boat above. The lighting at the entrance makes it look darker.
